I edited out their names just in case it’s illegal not to but this conversation just took place on facebook and it’s making me incredibly upset. This girl is threatening to lie to the police, telling them her now ex boyfriend raped her. Only because he threatened to call them after she told him she destroyed all his things.

RAPE IS NOT SOMETHING TO USE AS A DEFENSE.

I don’t know if there’s anything anyone can actually do about this but I just want to raise awareness that there ARE PEOPLE LIKE THIS OUT THERE and they are doing the exact opposite of what most women are trying to do. Rape is very serious. And it’s lies like these that become the reason that women begin to start getting denied rights after being raped, are accused of lying, and the list goes on.

I’m sorry this is worded really messy and bad, I’m just so upset right now and just reading the line “I’ll just tell them you raped me” over and over is just making me so sick.

If someone could maybe reblog it and reword me a little better that would be great. Please and thank you.

It’s ridiculously easy to do destroy a man’s entire life if you’re a woman. Even just an accusation is enough. Yet there are some who say that it is a positive experience, that it will teach them not to rape women in the future. As though it is a crime unique to every man.

I have personally known five women who have done this to someone. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND accusing someone of rape to get them in trouble. DO YOU NOT GET IT? YOU DESTROY SOMEONE’S LIFE with that accusation. You don’t get a do-over. That follows you around, makes people look twice at you, makes them hesitate when wanting to be around you.  It is not funny. it does NOT teach people to not rape. It merely teaches people that if they want to get someone in trouble, just say rape.  To every person that ignores the very real fact that people falsely accuse people of rape, FUCK YOU. That’s really all I have to say about that.
